Kuwait Airways announced on Tuesday that it is preparing to receive three new Airbus aircraft in the coming weeks.
The company announced in a press release that two Airbus A330-800s will arrive in Kuwait on September 28, while an Airbus A320neo will arrive in mid-October.
Kuwait Airways announced in February that it had increased the volume of a previous order from Airbus from 28 aircraft to 31 aircraft, in a deal worth three billion dollars.
At the time, the company revealed that the new order includes the purchase of nine Airbus A320neos, six A321neos, three A321neoLRs, four A330-800neos, seven A330-900neos and two A350-900s.
The statement quoted CEO of the company, Maan Razouki, as saying that receiving the new planes “comes within Kuwait Airways’ strategy to develop and modernize the entire fleet and include various planes that have the latest technology.”
