Sherihan Youssef, the sister of the teenager who died due to Korean noodles, told Cairo 24 that her brother Omar ate Korean noodles, after he saw a challenge on YouTube and wanted to try it, like any young man who goes through many challenges on social networking sites, and after eating hot Korean noodles, he felt very tired, then He was taken to the hospital, after which they were told that the chili and the spices in the noodles had damaged her brother’s digestive system and caused him severe complications.
Sherihan explained that her brother had stayed in the hospital for 4 days, then he was discharged from the hospital on the fifth day, which is the same day he died, as the hospital declared his discharge despite his extreme fatigue.
Sherihan added that they have taken legal measures against the Korean noodle company, noting that the bags of this product have warnings against eating it written on it, and despite that, it is present everywhere, and anyone can obtain and eat it, and it is sold in the market at a price of 85 pounds.
And she ended her speech by saying: I do not want any material compensation or compensation, but all my goal is to educate people and warn them about this product, because it is in the market and is sold naturally, despite the dangers of the materials and what it contains, and despite the warnings written on it, and it is a non-Egyptian imported product.
