The artist, Adel Emam, said that he loved the late President Gamal Abdel Nasser and was afraid of him at the same time, stressing that he is an Arab nationalist and republican from the ocean to the Gulf.
He added that Egyptian cinema had a major and influential role in rapprochement among all Arab peoples, stressing that art and cinema are among the foundations of Arab unity.
Adel Imam narrated a funny situation that happened to one of the employees who work with him, as he was suffering from heart disease.
An imam asked him about the cause of his illness even though he was still young, and he told me that he used to live in the building in which President Gamal Abdel Nasser’s brother lives, but on one of the upper floors.
And he continued: One day, while I was waiting for the elevator to go up to my apartment, the elevator was delayed, which made me furious, so I took to insulting and cursing because of its disruption, with a loud voice and screaming. Since then, the heart has come to me!! Because of the presence and overwhelming charisma of President Gamal Abdel Nasser.
