Eva Abel, mayor of the village of Kom Buha in Assiut Governorate for 5 years, said: 80% of the women leaders are from Upper Egypt, whether in Minya or Assiut, pointing out that what the media presents about Upper Egypt is unreal, as Upper Egypt has all groups of people and is not as shown in drama.
Eva Abel added, during her hosting of the “evening dmc” program, on the DMC channel: Amdiya is not easy, and the most important thing is being among people.
Eva Abel continued: The mayor is from the village and the number of villages is small, and through the movement in the country we know the families, explaining that when there is trust between the mayor and the people, problems are resolved, pointing out that thinking and breaking the barrier is not a problem for me as I lived in the village from 1990 until 2008 and got to know everything in the village.
Eva Abel explained: We have a political leadership in my country that respects women. The problem with the mayor is that time does not belong to him, and there are crimes that require flagrante delicto.
