It is as if fate contemplates the faces every day… looking for those who are crowned with a halo of the love of many, so it attracts them to the last pages of life as the bright light attracts the butterflies of the wild… it draws from its quiver a dose of bitter, eternal parting, and waters them until their wings blossom and they ascend… There is no place here for the good and their purification…
Yesterday, the Lebanese and Arab community, as well as all the people of the American city of Dearborn, were saddened by the news of the passing away of Dr. Rana Rafik Sabbagh Haidar (43 years old)… the doctor, nutritionist, and well-known sportswoman…. the southern daughter of Bint Jbeil, who practiced internal medicine 16 years ago After graduating from Wayne University with a medical major, in addition to a second major in the field of nutrition….but those were not her only fingerprints….
Everyone who knew her, from her patients to her colleagues, friends and loved ones, witnessed her cheerful spirit, her full love of life and her impulsiveness…. She was the one who treated her patients with her supportive smile and her warm interest… Her life has always been full of vitality and activity, so she participated, despite her many preoccupations and her commitment to her professional and family life With her husband, Marwan Haidar, in more than 70 marathons locally and internationally, she dedicated them to the spirit of her brother Mustafa and to all those who need support to continue their struggle every day….
Despite her young age, Dr. Rana passed away and left radiant imprints in the hearts of many, who lost a loving daughter, a supportive sister, a loving wife, a caring healer far beyond the limits of professional duty, and a dedicated colleague…. Even in her passing, She wrote for them the highest verses of strength, perseverance, and steadfastness…. She was the one who insisted on receiving her patients until her last days, and refused to give in to the bitterness of pain…. And so her brother Dr. Muhammad Sabbagh said in a message he circulated to her lovers and the many reassured about her condition in recent days, asking All fans of “fame and lovers of lights” should stop publishing news about her condition, hoping for the sympathy of those worried about her…. “My sister is a heroic warrior… This is how she was, and so she will be, and we will always be by her side… We appreciate everyone’s support and love that overwhelmed us, and we hope to respect the doctor’s privacy.” Rana and her health….
There are many reasons and intrusive stories, but…. the painful end is the same…. the Rana family, the American community in Dearborn, and the Lebanese and Arab community all lost an ambitious young woman full of hope and ambition…. May her soul rest in peace in the hope that her family and loved ones will have a guardian angel in the sky And to be a star that shines in the sky of an ailing homeland that continues to bleed its best children on the altars of alienation before it draws from the abundance of their gifts to heal what has a solution and is solved….
