The British Academy of Television distributed its BAFTA awards, as Kate Winslet won the Best Actress Award for her role in the series I Am Ruth, while the BAFTA Award for Best Actor won the artist Ben Whishaw for the series This is Going to Hurt.

Siobhán McSweeney won the British Academy Television Award for Best Comedy Actress for her role in the comedy series Derry Girls, while the British Academy Television Award for Best Comedy Performance won Lenny Rush for Am I Being Unreasonable, an actor with disabilities.

While Anne-Marie Duff won the BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress for Bad Sisters, while I Am Ruth won the SINGLE DRAMA Award.

The best international series award went to Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, and the best miniseries went to Mood, while the reality TV series ibby, Are You Home Yet?, and Adil Akhtar won the best supporting actor award for the Sherwood series.
