Tom Cruise dominated the box office chart last year with “Love in the Sky: Maverick” that managed to pass the billion dollar mark. Now the star will try to reproduce the success with “Mission Impossible: Deadly Revenge – Part 1” (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1), the penultimate film in the successful action series.
In the new movie, Ethan Hunt (Cruise) and his team set out on their most dangerous mission yet – to locate a new and terrifying weapon that threatens all of humanity, and prevent the wrong hands from getting it first.
With the fate of humanity’s future in his hands, dark forces from Hunt’s past begin to close in and the agent embarks on a deadly race around the world. When faced with a mysterious and all-powerful enemy, Ethan realizes that nothing can be more important than his mission – not even the lives of those he loves most.
The new trailer confronts Ethan with the fact that his new mission is going to cost him dearly. The world has changed quite a bit since Hunt began his work, and the truth is no longer so clear. When the people he cares about the most are in danger, Ethan threatens to do anything to get revenge if anything happens to them.
The film promises all the action we’ve come to expect from the series, including one tense scene where Hunt rides his motorcycle over a cliff. At moments like these it’s always even more stressful to think that Tom Cruise likes to perform his own stunts. In the new film, Hunt will have to understand once and for all what his ultimate goal is, and what will he be willing to sacrifice for it?
“Death Revenge – Part 1” comes from writer-director Christopher McQuarrie, who also directed the previous two films in the series, and also produced “Love in the Sky: Maverick” last year.
To the cast will return Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames andRebecca Fergusonand they will be joined this time Pom Clementif (“Guardians of the Galaxy 3”), Vanessa Kirby (“Crown”), Hayley Atwell (“Captain America”), Essay Morales (“A Guide to a Murderer”), andShea Whigham (“Perry Mason”).

The new film will be the first part of the final episode of the series, which will mark the journey of Agent Hunt once and for all. After more than two decades and six films that grossed Paramount Studios $3.5 billion, Cruise is finally ready to put his legendary character behind him.
The film comes after several postponements due to the corona epidemic which seems to still be showing its effect on cinema. The film, which was announced in 2019, was supposed to hit theaters as early as 2021, so the wait for it has been dragging on for two years.
The good news is that the postponement meant that we will get to see the signature part of the series without waiting too long, in June of next year.
“Mission Impossible: Revenge of Death – Part 1” will land in theaters in Israel on July 13, 2023.
