The presidential spokesman speaks from Jeddah about the return of Syria to the Arab League

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived today, Thursday, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in the 32nd session of the Arab League Council at the summit level, which is being held in Jeddah.

Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic, told the media delegation accompanying President Sisi in Jeddah that the president will deliver an important speech tomorrow dealing with several axes, most notably the need to preserve the national state and its capabilities, referring to Egypt’s position in support of political solutions to the crises plaguing the region.

The presidential spokesman added that President El-Sisi’s speech will include in its axes the unification of the Arab ranks, pointing out that the 32nd session of the League of Arab States Council at the summit level, which is being held in Jeddah, is being held in a thorny international circumstance and a regional circumstance that is not in the best condition.

He said that the Sudanese crisis casts a shadow over the summit, in addition to the situation in Palestine, which is an issue that always comes at the forefront of the Egyptian state’s concerns, especially in light of the current conditions it is witnessing, and the Egyptian state intervened strongly in order to work on resolving it.

The presidential spokesman added that Syria has returned to the Arab League, and Egypt’s position in this regard is very clear, which is that this return contribute to resolving the crisis, to restore the Syrian people to their stability, security, safety and right to a better future.
