National News Agency – Security Forces: Arrest of the mastermind of a gang that stole antiques from a house in Beit Mery

Patriotic – The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following communiqué:

On 4-26-2023, unknown persons entered, through breaking and dislocation, the house of a citizen in the town of Beit Mery, and stole a number of chandeliers and antiques from inside, and fled to an unknown destination. After that, the specialized units in the Information Division of the Internal Security Forces began their procedures field and inquisition to identify the perpetrators and arrest them.

As a result of extensive investigations and investigations, the Division was able to identify the identities of the robbery gang members, including the mastermind, called:

M. M. (Born in 1995, Lebanese) He has a criminal record for theft crimes, and he was released from prison about a year ago.

Orders were given to locate and arrest him.

On 4-5-2023, and after a careful surveillance operation, one of the Division’s patrols was able to spot him in the north, on board a white “Toyota pickup” used in the theft, as it set up a tight ambush, which led to his arrest and seizure of ” Pick-up”.

By interrogating him, he admitted what was attributed to him in terms of executing the theft from inside a house in Beit Mery in association with others, and that they sold part of the stolen items in a focus in the north and another part in a chandeliers shop in Tripoli.

A portion of the stolen items was recovered and handed over to the plaintiff.

The legal requirement was carried out against the arrested person, and the relevant reference was deposited with the “pick-up” based on the reference of the competent judiciary, and work is continuing to arrest the rest of the gang members.
