Berlin, May 12, WAM/ His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, Chairman of the Federal National Council, met with His Excellency Michael Roth, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the German Bundestag, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Ali Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defense, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council, during the current official visit, at the head of a parliamentary delegation From the Council to the Federal Republic of Germany.
During the meeting, the depth of the bilateral strategic relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Federal Republic of Germany was emphasized, and the importance of the parliamentary relations between the two sides reflecting the existing partnership between the two friendly countries.
His Excellency Saqr Ghobash said that the UAE, in its foreign policy, is working to extend bridges of friendship and expand cooperation with all countries of the world, and establish concepts of joint cooperation, exchange of dialogue and understanding on the basis of tolerance, rejecting differences of any nature, adopting the approach of tolerance and coexistence, and offering diplomacy and peaceful solutions in resolving conflicts at all costs. His Excellency Saqr Ghobash extended an invitation to the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the German Bundestag to visit the UAE and to participate in the “COP28” conference.

The meeting was also attended by Ahmed Wahib Moez Ahmed Al-Attar, UAE Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.
His Excellency Dr. Ali Al Nuaimi stressed the importance of cooperation through parliamentary visits, to enhance coordination and consultation on various issues of common concern, as well as the exchange of parliamentary experiences. He praised the important role that parliaments play in promoting civilized dialogue, tolerance and peaceful coexistence among peoples.
For his part, His Excellency Michael Roth affirmed that the bilateral relations between the two countries are witnessing a remarkable development in various fields, especially the parliamentary ones, and that the meetings and visits contribute to the advancement of relations between the two friendly countries and parliaments.
