The Saudi Tourism Authority held an extensive meeting prior to the launch of the summer program with all the partners of the Saudi tourism system, from the government and private sectors, in order to unify visions and efforts, empower the private sector and put the final touches on the readiness of the destinations, products, experiences, offers and packages offered.
On this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Aqil Al-Khatib, Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Tourism Authority, said: “Saudi Arabia has become the fastest growing tourist destination in the world and has proven its ability to be a destination for tourists from home and abroad throughout the year. Today, we are launching the promotional campaign for the Saudi summer under The slogan “Do not go far … the spirit of Saudi Arabia”, which is in the context of the efforts of the Saudi tourism system to highlight the competitive advantage of summer in Saudi Arabia, given the kingdom’s mountainous destinations with cool weather and extended beaches with various activities on the coast of the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf, in addition to organizing many events Quality and attractive seasons, as this summer witnesses the largest participation from the private sector with the aim of providing more than 1.8 million additional seats for flights that will depart for summer destinations in the Kingdom, in addition to increasing hotel capacity by more than 15 thousand new rooms, in addition to presenting more than 100 offers and products that have been completed. It was designed specifically for the summer of this year to meet the aspirations of various segments of visitors from home and abroad.”
This summer promotional campaign comes at a time when the Kingdom is witnessing a great tourist movement, with the waiting for the opening of the first phase of tourist resorts in the Red Sea project this year, in addition to the acceleration of business completion on Sindala Island in the city of Neom, in addition to the historic Diriyah receiving one million visitors since its opening last November.
