Poultry prices today, May 20, 2023 in the local market
At 64 and 65 pounds per kilo on the farm, according to the head of the Poultry Wealth Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, Abdulaziz Al-Sayed. The volume of domestic consumption of white poultry is 150,000 tons per month, and a kilo of hips is 73 pounds.
The government implemented a strategy to boost the domesticated wealth sector, including encouraging the establishment of integrated projects in the desert regions.
The strategy aims for the new projects to include stages of hatching, integrated cultivation, production, slaughterhouses, fodder production and waste recycling units.
White poultry prices
White poultry prices ranged from 69 to 70 pounds per kilo per consumer, depending on the region, and egg production recorded 13 billion eggs annually, according to Abdulaziz Al-Sayed, head of the Poultry Wealth Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce.
The number of breeders working in the sector ranges between 50,000 and 60,000 establishments, including 20 large companies, according to data from the Poultry Producers Union.

Today, turkey prices ranged between 100 and 130 pounds per kilo in the local market, and the volume of Egyptian poultry production reached 4 million chickens per day, and the price of a kilo of turkey ranged between 140 and 150 pounds – depending on the region.
Egypt relies on importing turkeys, given that local production is very limited and does not meet the needs of the local market, and the weight of turkeys ranges between 6 and 12 kilograms.

The prices of poultry, Munir Al-Sakka, reached 64 pounds for white poultry, and the Sasso poultry recorded 71 pounds. The Ministry of Agriculture aims to increase poultry export rates by storming the Saudi and Kuwaiti markets during the current year, after its success in entering the Emirates and Oman last year.

Today, the prices of ducks ranged between 100 and 120 pounds per kilo, and the average annual domestic production of poultry is about 1.4 billion chickens, according to the statements of al-Sayyid al-Qaseer, Minister of Agriculture.
The number of ducks in Egypt is about four million birds. That is equivalent to 7% of the number of poultry, according to the statements of the head of the Poultry Wealth Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce.
Chick prices today
Today, the prices of chicks have stabilized in the local market at 10 and 17 pounds. The volume of investments of poultry farms operating in the Egyptian market is about 90 billion pounds, and more than 2.5 million workers work in the sector.
