The General Directorate of Civil Defense in Dubai signed a memorandum of understanding with the International Society of Fire Engineers, based on the keenness of the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Dubai to support and consolidate strategic partnership relations to achieve leadership in firefighting and rescue operations and ensure the safety of lives and property. The signing of the memorandum comes on the sidelines of the Leaders Conference. Dubai Civil Defense pointed out that the memorandum aims to enhance and improve the science and procedures of firefighting, fire prevention, firefighting engineering, and related operations and measures.
In addition to developing professional standards and regulations in the fields of fire safety, raising the efficiency of field staff, developing and improving work procedures, enhancing excellence and sustainability of performance, exchanging knowledge and experiences related to the field of work of both parties, promoting creativity and innovation in the field and administrative fields, as well as employing the capabilities of both parties to achieve quality of life. The memorandum was signed by the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Dubai, Brigadier General Expert Ali Hassan Al Mutawa, Assistant Director General for Fire and Rescue Affairs, while Steve Hamm, CEO of the International Society of Fire Engineers, signed on behalf of the Society of Fire Engineers.
