
ABU DHABI, 13th May, 2020 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, SEHA, hosted, in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, the Ninth International Conference on Nursing and Midwifery, with the participation of nursing and midwifery staff to discuss medical issues in the field of innovation, technology and critical thinking.
The two-day conference, which will witness the attendance of more than 500 people at the Conrad Abu Dhabi Hotel in Etihad Towers, will be held under the theme “Shaping the Future of Healthcare through Innovation, Technology and Evidence-Based Practices.” It aims to explore, create and implement innovative healthcare systems that prioritize the well-being of patients and healthcare providers.
The conference includes a wide-ranging scientific program of topics of interest to nursing staff, nursing students and others interested in health care in general.
The organizing committee cooperated with several national and international organizations to create a unique educational experience covering the most important current issues related to this field.
The conference includes many international experts in this field in addition to an elite list of prominent local speakers, who will cover a wide range of topics, modern lectures and interactive sessions that will promote the exchange of knowledge, experience and best practices.
Muayad Muhammad Hussein, Nursing Director at SEHA, said: This event highlights not only a platform for exchanging knowledge and innovation in nursing, but it is also a celebration of the dedication and compassion of the nursing staff in their field of work, and through the participation of the nursing staff in the conference, they will have an opportunity to enhance their clinical expertise. and improve their social and emotional skills.
He added that the conference program was designed to meet the needs of the nursing staff and to provide sessions and workshops focused on communication, empathy, teamwork and self-care, as these skills represent basic pillars for building strong relationships with patients, colleagues and the health care team, which works to achieve better results for patients and a more satisfying nursing practice. In addition, the winners of the “Ehsan Award” will be announced during the conference’s opening ceremony.
Hussain concluded, “We must examine the role, role, processes, and knowledge of the nursing profession against emerging ethical frameworks that explore the opportunities and risks that AI and similar innovations bring while encouraging patients to develop and apply AI.”
