A split in the protest following the operation in Gaza: Some of the organizers of the protest against the legal revolution announced today (Saturday) that despite the continuation of Operation Shield and Arrow in Gaza, which is in the middle of its fifth day, they will hold a demonstration in Tel Aviv tonight for the 19th week in a row. This, after yesterday evening another part of the organizers announced the cancellation of the demonstration in Kaplan, “to maintain the safety of the demonstrators”.
The organizers called on the protesters to obey the directives of the Home Front Command, and in their message it was written that “currently there are no restrictions on gatherings in Tel Aviv.”
One of the organizers of the protest who will demonstrate tonight at 19:00 in a march from Dizengoff Square to Azrieli Junction said: “These days, when during the fighting there is mass looting of public funds, the danger of the forceful and undemocratic government’s ax being hoisted over the necks of the citizens of Israel is sharpening. The opposition is responsible To stop the plot and we have the responsibility to persist in the fight with determination until the laws of the dictatorship are abolished. The protest actions and demonstrations will continue as long as the coup d’état threatens to dismantle Israeli society and collapse democracy.”
Among the organizations that will come tonight for a spontaneous march without a speech stage: “Komi Israel”, “Criminister”, “The Democrats”, “Israeli Revolution”, “Democracy Now”, “Order 8”, “No Situation”, “The Pink Front” and Compassion in the network”.
Limor Moyal from “The Democrats”: “The goal of terrorism is to disrupt our lives and prevent us from maintaining a normal life.
Postponing a demonstration is a victory for our enemies. Also, there is no difference between a demonstration and a performance by Aviv Gefen and there is no difference between Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan in terms of danger.”
