“Grandpa got stressed, grandma tried to help him get up”: A family member of Inga Abramian, in her 80s who was killed by the rocket hit in Rehovot, told about what apparently caused his grandmother’s death in the moments of stress and anxiety of the alarm. “Inga was hit by a collapsing ceiling, while grandfather Sergey was only slightly injured,” he recalled after trying to enter the destroyed apartment, but they were not allowed to enter it due to the danger of the collapse on the spot.
“They didn’t have time to get to the hospital,” he added. “Grandpa was probably stressed and grandma tried to help him get up. It was difficult for him to move because he is an amputee after being hit in a car accident and became paralyzed in half of his body. They heard the alarm late and felt they had too little time to get to the shelter.”

Inga was hit by a collapsed ceiling while Sergey was injured with only minor bruises.
The family members arrived at the apartment today shortly after the incident, but were not allowed to enter due to the danger of collapse. “The sights were hard, everything was destroyed, there was nothing left,” said Arthur.
Inga and Sergey immigrated from Yerevan in Armenia to Israel about thirty years ago. The couple have a son and a daughter, and grandchildren. “Grandma was a teacher of the Russian language, an educated woman. A woman of wisdom and above. Grandpa had a manufacturing plant. They both had a high status in Armenia, but in Israel they had trouble getting along with the Hebrew language. After the accident in which my grandfather was involved, he became paralyzed in half of his body. And managed in a chair Wheels. Grandma took care of him with devotion and love. She raised us all. Grandma was a brave woman. I don’t know what Grandpa would do without her. He communicated only with her. She was his whole life. There was a love between them that you don’t see every day,” the grandson said sadly.
Inga’s funeral will probably be held at the Rishon LeZion cemetery and the family is asking the public to come, pay their last respects and accompany the woman who has educated generations of people on her last journey. “Grandma wanted to live her life with dignity and that’s how she ended it.”
