The leader of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Dr. Muhammad al-Hindi, said that the continuous Egyptian effort succeeded in reaching a cease-fire agreement between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, which will enter into force at ten o’clock this evening, Saturday.
And he added, during a telephone interview with the “Cairo News” satellite channel, on Saturday evening: “We are waiting for the ten o’clock until the ceasefire enters into force, and on our part we are committed to the agreement sponsored by Egypt and in which it made great efforts, and I believe that the Israeli enemy will clearly adhere to it.”
He explained that the movement deals very seriously with the Egyptian effort to make the agreement a success, paying tribute to the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their valiant resistance that topped the scene in the Gaza Strip.
The leader of the Islamic Jihad Movement confirmed that “Egyptian mediation has a fundamental role in reaching the agreement,” pointing to Israel’s failure to achieve its goals after the battle.
He stated that the region will not witness stability until the rights of the Palestinian people are recognized, commenting: “Israel wants to transgress the rights of the Palestinian people and wants them to surrender. We will not surrender, whatever their capabilities, and not recognizing rights makes confrontation open.”
And he continued: “We defend ourselves, our rights, our sanctities, and our children at all times, and the past days have proven that Israel is not the bogeyman who intimidates and roams the region, as pictures and videos came out of it proving that it has taken a step back.”
And the Palestinian and Israeli sides agreed to a cease-fire, starting at ten in the evening today, according to what was reported by the “Cairo News” satellite channel, in breaking news for it, on Saturday evening.
According to Al-Qahera News, the agreement includes a commitment to a ceasefire, stopping the targeting of civilians, and stopping the demolition of homes.
The satellite channel indicated that Egypt has intensified its contacts with the Palestinian and Israeli sides, to implement the cease-fire agreement.
