For his part, His Holiness Pope Tawadros said: Egypt exists and is strong regardless of the difficulties, and God gave Egypt the Nile River, which represents to us the calm nature and patience and gives us the spirit of prayer and worship. We all live next to each other in one unit created by the Nile with its qualities.
He concluded by stressing his constant keenness to visit the Egyptian embassy in every country he visits.
