In a short time, the painter Lama Al-Otaibi was able to transform the hobby, which is known to be a means of relaxation and achieving inner peace, into a source of “income”, after she scattered a unique creative art that made her distinguished for her works.
Lama is a Saudi painter and mother of a child. She previously discovered the hobby of drawing, after graduating from high school, as she started with a pencil on a painting, then embarked on the world of drawing and mastery, until she began to draw on bags.
Al-Otaibi confirms her story, during her interview with “News24Her parents and aunts were the reason for her reaching this level, for their constant support.
And she adds: “The first drawing I worked on was an art painting for a famous coffee shop in Riyadh in 2018, but in late 2021 I turned my compass to a different world that few would be artistic about, because it requires patience and accuracy.”
Lama began to paint a painting “Ghazal”, a painting that found a wide interaction at the time, which made her work to not be just a drawing, but rather a brand of her own, acquired by people.
It occurred to Al-Otaibi that the project of drawing on bags and wallets in general is a successful project, especially since it is a world that requires a skilled person, as she has become working with various international brands on a daily basis.
After that, Lama decided to make her hobby a source of “income”, after she saw people’s acceptance of her work and their passion for wearing bags bearing her own brand with the “deer” drawing, which made her start doing so and start working and receiving applications, as this requires from one to four days, according to the details of the drawing.
Al-Otaibi set the prices of the drawings on the bags, and confirmed that they range from 289 to 400 riyals, in exchange for drawing “portraits” of characters on the bags.
