Nasrallah: Lebanon is required to restore normal relations with Syria… We do not impose a president on anyone

The Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, saw that there is a problem in Lebanon in terms of what afflicts some of their narrow-mindedness, narrow calculations, detachment from reality, and denial of developments. ?

And pointing out that “the aggression against Gaza was initiated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in order to assassinate the leaders of the Al-Quds Brigades,” he regretted “the continued global silence and the United States’ prevention of the UN Security Council from issuing a statement condemning Israel for killing women and children in Gaza,” noting that “the motives of Netanyahu from the battle is to restore the deterrence that has eroded, escape from the internal division, address the disintegration in his government coalition, and improve his political and electoral situation.” He considered that Netanyahu’s calculations were a failure, as the decision was to single out the Islamic Jihad movement, neutralize the rest of the factions, and cause strife in the environment of the resistance.

Nasrallah stressed that “the resistance in Gaza was able to thwart the enemy’s goal of restoring deterrence,” saying that “at any time responsibility imposes on us, we must take any step or steps, we will not hesitate.”

He pointed out that Lebanon is required to restore normal relations with Syria, asking: “What is the caretaker government waiting for?” It is likely that “if Hezbollah had been holding the decisions of the Lebanese governments, it would have been Lebanon from the time it went to Syria.”

On the issue of the displaced, he saw that it “is not dealt with through social media, statements and speeches that create a negative atmosphere and hostility,” stressing that “the change in the position of some political forces regarding the displaced confirms that their first position was of a political background, and the Lebanese solution is to assign a delegation and visit Syria to carry out Serious discussion.”

On the presidential file, Nasrallah said, “The recent developments are positive from our point of view, and our candidate Franjieh is not a coincidental candidate, and when Aoun was elected to the presidency, Franjieh was also a candidate.”

He pointed out that “we do not impose a president on anyone, and we invited everyone to nominate their candidate and go to dialogue, and today the doors are still open to dialogue.”

He stressed that “the caretaker government must continue to exercise its responsibilities despite all the difficulties,” wishing “the House of Representatives to continue its work normally.”
