In addition to working to start manufacturing one of the most modern artillery systems in the world, which is the K9 A1 EGY howitzer system. The factory also meets the needs of the Ministry of the Interior in terms of troop transport vehicles and bulletproof vests. The factory has a leading role in the field of civilian heavy industries, as it participates in implementing The state plan to expand the production of electric buses in cooperation with the Egyptian private sector. It also contributes to converting a number of public transport buses to run on natural gas instead of diesel, in addition to the role of the armored vehicles production and repair factory in equipping mobile youth vehicles and manufacturing fuel and water tanks and metal trusses.
Minister “Mohamed Salah” explained that the aim of conducting these sudden inspection tours of the affiliated companies and units is to check on the nature of the production process on the ground in order to create a clear vision for each (company / unit) that aims to develop in a way that suits its nature and to identify ways to advance its work and production along with Reviewing the indicators of productivity, performance, and the current position of the contracts being implemented, stressing the keenness of the Ministry of Military Production to implement the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to pay attention to the localization of defense industries, deepening local manufacturing in general, and strengthening the role of the ministry in implementing industrial and economic development projects by benefiting from its technological capabilities and loyal human cadres that It enables it to complete the various projects entrusted to it in the specified times and with the highest levels of quality.
The inspection tour was not limited to meeting officials at the factory, but the Minister of State for Military Production was keen to address the workers directly and ask them about the production process and the challenges they face during work, telling everyone that “the Egyptian state did not skimp on the factory with any support, so we expect a lot from you during the coming period and should Each worker must be well aware of the value and importance of what he participates in producing,” stressing his confidence in the human cadres of the factory, which includes a group of engineers and trained workers.
