Counselor Dr. Hanafi Jabali, Speaker of the House of Representatives, met with Ms. Sahibha Gafarova, Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, within the framework of his official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
At the outset of the meeting, Counselor Dr. Hanafi Jabali, Speaker of the House of Representatives, expressed Egypt’s keenness to strengthen its bilateral relations at all levels with the Republic of Azerbaijan, especially at the parliamentary level in line with the historical Egyptian-Azerbaijani relations, stressing the need to strengthen parliamentary cooperation between the Egyptian House of Representatives and the Parliament of Azerbaijan. During the meeting, Counselor Dr. Hanafi Jabali, Speaker of the House of Representatives, reviewed the national efforts made by Egypt to overcome obstacles facing foreign investors and the major national projects being implemented by the Egyptian state, especially in the economic zone of the Suez Canal. The Speaker of Parliament also appreciated the efforts made by Azerbaijan during its presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement, stressing The importance of continuing coordination and cooperation between the two countries in all international forums, as well as coordinating bilateral efforts in combating terrorism and extremist ideology.
For her part, Mrs. Sahaba Gafarova, Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, affirmed Azerbaijan’s keenness to enhance and deepen the level of bilateral cooperation with Egypt, which is evident in the positive momentum witnessed by the relations between the two countries in all fields, especially at the parliamentary level, referring in this context to her visit The last visit to Egypt last February, and the current visit of the Chancellor, Dr. Speaker of the House of Representatives, to Azerbaijan, which comes within the framework of qualitative efforts to strengthen bilateral parliamentary relations between Egypt and Azerbaijan recently.
