A statement was issued by the office of the President of the American University of Beirut (AUB), announcing the establishment of the Sherine Abu Akleh Memorial Scholarship at the university.

In honor of the memory of Sherine Abu Akleh, the Board of Trustees of the American University of Beirut, in full partnership with the Jaffa Foundation, announces the creation of the Sherine Abu Akle Memorial Scholarship. This grant will fund full scholarships for women from Palestine to obtain a master’s degree in media studies from the American University of Beirut, the oldest and most prestigious university in the region, with applications being considered immediately.”
