Amid the escalating electoral movement, money has remarkably flowed into fuel stations, especially those that were contracted by candidates and lists.
Sources in the hydrocarbon sector told“Lebanon 24” “There is a lot of money paid in Lebanese pounds to the stations in order to finance the fuel for the delegates and workers within the electoral machines.”
Nevertheless, the sources indicated that “the elections did not lead to an increase in pressure on the gasoline stock,” and added: “Despite the presence of a large number of electoral delegates and machines to fill fuel, the movement at the stations is not large, due to the economic situation of the people.”
