Next week, the Shura Council will resume, via video communication, holding its regular sessions from the second year of the eighth session by discussing a number of topics on its agenda, which include annual reports for a number of government agencies, and views presented by the Council’s specialized committees towards other parties. The Council has been involved in a number of draft agreements and memoranda of understanding.

Next Monday, the Council will begin the work of its thirty-third regular session by discussing a report submitted by the Security and Military Affairs Committee regarding the annual report of the General Intelligence Presidency for the fiscal year 1442/1443 AH.

In the same session, the Council will also discuss the report of the Islamic and Judicial Affairs Committee on the draft civil transactions system, a report submitted by the Water, Agriculture and Environment Committee, regarding the annual report of the Public Irrigation Corporation for the fiscal year 1442/1443 AH, and a report from the same committee regarding the request of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture to join the Agreement on measures to be taken by the port state to prevent, deter and eliminate illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing.

Among the topics on the agenda of the session is the report of the Trade and Investment Committee, on the annual report of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises for the fiscal year 1442/1443 AH.

Regarding the work of the Council’s thirty-fourth regular session, which will be held next Tuesday, the Education and Scientific Research Committee will review its view before the Council regarding the annual report of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology for the fiscal year 1440/1441 AH, to vote on its recommendations.

In the same session, the council will discuss the report of the Human Resources and Social Development Committee regarding the annual report of the National Center for Social Studies and Research for the fiscal year 1442/1443 AH, and another report submitted by the Trade and Investment Committee regarding the annual report of the National Competitiveness Center for the fiscal year 1442/1443 AH.

The Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee presents its report on a draft memorandum of understanding for bilateral cooperation in the field of intellectual property between the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Office of Patents and Trademarks in the United States of America. Culture in Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Digitization, Culture, Media and Sport of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Among the topics on the session’s agenda, the Council will discuss the report of the Foreign Affairs Committee, on a draft general agreement for cooperation between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Republic of Uganda, and a draft memorandum of understanding on political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda.

With regard to the Board’s thirty-fifth regular session, which will be held next Wednesday, the Board will discuss the report of the Trade and Investment Committee, regarding the annual report of the Saudi Center for Economic Business for the fiscal year 1442/1443 AH.

During the session, the council will also review the report of the Hajj, Housing and Services Committee, regarding the two annual reports of the Royal Commission for the City of Makkah and the Holy Sites for the fiscal years 1440/1441 AH and 1441/1442 AH.

During the session, the council will discuss the report of the Education and Scientific Research Committee, on the annual report of the National Center for E-Learning for the fiscal year 1442/1443 AH, and the report of the Trade and Investment Committee, on the annual report of the Saudi Accreditation Center for the fiscal year 1442/1443 AH.

The agenda of this session includes a report from the Committee on Culture, Sports and Tourism on a draft cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Sports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of State for Digital Affairs, Culture, Media and Sports in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland in the field of sports.
