Dr. Ahmed Al-Attar, head of the Agricultural Quarantine at the Ministry of Agriculture, said that wheat was examined and samples were taken before shipment on ships in India after confirming international standards, commenting: “The protein content is very high from 14 to 17%, and the moisture content is from 8 to 9%.” Which helps the lack of moisture to grind wheat easily.

He added, during a telephone interview with the media, Sarah Hazem, on her program today, broadcast on the DMC channel, that the first Indian wheat boat was examined, analyzed and shipped to Egypt under the supervision of the agricultural quarantine, pointing out that the boat contained about 63 thousand tons, and so far 45 thousand tons were lifted. The rest of the boat is being lifted.

Al-Qusayr, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, received a report from Dr. Ahmed Al-Attar, head of the Plant Quarantine, of the results of his supervision of the examination, analysis and shipping procedures for the first Indian wheat vessel shipped from Kandla port in India to Egypt.

Al-Attar supervised the examination of wheat before shipment through the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine inspectors, taking samples and analyzing them in one of the international laboratories accredited by the European Union, in addition to the careful quarantine examination of all quantities of wheat before and during loading on the boat.
