Ahmed Yahya, goalkeeper of Al-Ittihad of Alexandria, announced this Friday evening, his retirement from football permanently, after the incident of the Ceramica Cleopatra match.

Yesterday, Thursday, the 79th minute of the match between Al-Ittihad and Ceramica, Ahmed Yahya left the stadium in tears, after a violent attack by the fans, after he conceded 5 goals.

And the Union goalkeeper wrote on his personal page on the social networking site “Facebook”: “Thank you, the fans of Egypt, for the support and support.

He added: “After yesterday’s events, I decided to retire from football permanently, and we belong to God and to Him we shall return, and when God meets the opponents.”

Before the Ceramica match, Yahya passed in a bad psychological state due to the death of his brother one day before the match, and despite that, he was prejudiced against himself and decided to participate with Al-Ittihad.
