Philip Morris Egypt announced the change of the manufacturer’s name printed on all its products from “Marlboro”, “Mert” and L&M cigarettes of all kinds to “Made in Egypt by the United Tobacco Company”, after United obtained a license to produce traditional and electronic cigarettes in Egypt.
Philip Morris Egypt clarified in a statement today that the Eastern Company for Tobacco will continue to manufacture all Philip Morris cigarette products until the end of its stock of production materials and raw materials needed to manufacture these types, after which United Tobacco Company will start the manufacturing process.
Philip Morris Egypt expressed its happiness with the successful strategic partnership with the Eastern Tobacco Company, which lasted nearly half a century, and its aspiration to continue this partnership through its contribution to the United Tobacco Company.
She affirmed her quest to continue her great successes in the Egyptian market, to meet all the needs of adult smokers through a new phase in which all the brands owned by Philip Morris are produced at the United Tobacco Company.
Philip Morris Egypt announced its full commitment to all contracts with traders and suppliers to ensure the availability of all products in all governorates of Egypt. And that its ultimate goal is to contribute to supporting the Egyptian economy and providing the needs of adult smokers, and that it will continue to offer all its products at the same prices recently established, without any change in cigarette packages or their shape, and according to the best quality levels.
