The Center for Blood Transfusion and Research Services in Sharjah, affiliated to the Emirates Corporation for Health Services, is organizing the third and fourth phases of the “Life Imprint” campaign for blood donation, targeting all cadres working in the institution and its facilities. It is accompanied by mobile campaigns via blood donation buses equipped with all the necessary medical supplies for donation.
The campaign seeks to motivate the employees and workers of the Foundation’s health facilities and facilities in the targeted parties and encourage them to donate blood periodically.
Mona Al-Hawai, Director of the Center for Blood Transfusion and Research Services, confirmed that launching blood donation campaigns and completing the “Life Imprint” campaign and its continuity, aims to spread health awareness and educate the public and professional cadres about the importance of voluntary blood donation, to meet the needs of patients in hospitals of blood and its components, noting the center’s keenness to Enhancing this culture among all cadres working in the health facilities of the Emirates Corporation for Health Services.

Al-Hawai pointed out the need for community members to follow up on the calls for blood donation that the center broadcasts on the official channels of the Emirates Foundation for Health Services. 24 hours a day on weekdays.
On the mechanism of work of the center and its blood banks, Al-Hawai said that the Emirates Foundation for Health Services has provided the necessary information about the mechanisms and conditions for donating blood through its website, in addition to a set of digital channels.
In parallel with the campaigns launched by the Center, the Foundation was keen to introduce blood donation services, through a set of smart and traditional channels, where all customers can enter the Foundation’s website and follow the steps that include registration and reading the educational material about blood donation, and see the steps to be followed such as The donor form form to provide all the required information before donating, and to conduct initial tests to determine the blood type and measure vital indicators that include measuring blood pressure, heart rate and body temperature, in order to ensure the safety of the donor.
Those wishing to donate blood can go to the Center for Blood Transfusion and Research Services in Sharjah, the subsidiary blood banks at Kuwait Hospital in Dubai, and at Al Dhaid, Khor Fakkan and Kalba hospitals in Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain Hospital in Umm Al Quwain, Saqr in Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Dibba Al Fujairah in the Emirate of Fujairah.
