Emirates News Agency – “Emirates Heart Association” launches an awareness campaign on World Heart Day

DUBAI, 21 September / WAM / The Emirates Heart Association is launching an awareness campaign on World Heart Day, which falls on September 29 every year, with the participation of a number of experts and doctors specializing in cardiology.

The campaign, which will be launched via videoconferencing technology on September 29, deals with several topics related to heart disease, including rumors and misunderstandings of cardiovascular diseases, ways to prevent them, how to follow a healthy lifestyle and improve heart health.

Dr. Juwayriyah Al-Ali, President of the Emirates Heart Association, a non-interventional cardiologist, said: “It is imperative that we start making positive change and raise awareness among all residents of the UAE about the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle in order to prevent cardiovascular diseases.”

For his part, Dr. Abdullah Shehab, cardiologist, vice president of the Emirates Heart Association, said that World Heart Day is an awareness day that encourages community members to maintain the health of their heart, and we at the Emirates Heart Association play a key role in educating and spreading awareness among members of society in general.
