ABU DHABI, 23rd of September / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange revealed that the value of shares owned by Saudi investors increased to 5.627 billion dirhams until the beginning of this September, with a share equivalent to 25% of the total value of shares owned by Arab and Gulf investors, which amounted to 22.897 billion dirhams.
The Abu Dhabi market explained to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the number of Saudi investors in the market reached 145,647 investors, equivalent to 42% of the total Arab and Gulf investors in the market, which numbered 344,660 investors as of the beginning of this September.
The market indicated that the trading values of Saudi investors in the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange increased on an annual basis by 278% during the first eight months of this year to reach 9.2 billion dirhams, compared to 2.438 billion dirhams in the same period last year 2021.
According to Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange data, Saudi investors accounted for about 42% of the total trading values of Arab and Gulf investors in the market during the first eight months of this year, amounting to 22.07 billion dirhams, compared to a share of 21% of the total trading values of Arab and Gulf investors, amounting to A value of 11.84 billion dirhams during the first eight months of last year 2021.
