Egypt, represented by the National Organization for Urban Harmony, headed by Engineer “Mohamed Abu Saada”, participated in the seventh meeting of the Architectural and Urban Heritage Observatory, which is organized by the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science in the Arab World (ALECSO) in the Algerian capital, with the participation of a number of ministers and those interested in urban heritage at the national level. The meeting dealt with discussing the explanatory regulations for the Charter for the Preservation and Development of the Distinguished Urban and Architectural Heritage in the Arab Countries, and working on setting the guiding framework for the Arab Urban Heritage Register. In preparation for the work of an Arab national archive for heritage areas at the level of the Arab world, the nomination form for the Architectural Heritage Register and the registration mechanism were also discussed, and the internal situation for the work of the Arab Architectural Heritage Observatory was also discussed.

A field visit will be organized to a number of heritage sites as a model for the urban heritage sites in Algeria.
