FIFA announced the logo for the next World Cup in 2026, to be held jointly between Canada, the United States and Mexico, during a ceremony in Los Angeles, with the participation of FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
Brazilian Ronaldo, former Mexico goalkeeper Campos, and former Canadian goalkeeper Craig Forrest, as well as US national team player Carli Lloyd, participated in the ceremony. The FIFA statement said that the tournament was played within a maximum period of 30 days, while the new version will be played within a period of 39 days.
FIFA has launched a special brand for each of the 16 host cities “in an unprecedented initiative to bring together the fans and cultures of Canada, Mexico and the United States”.
It is also scheduled to increase the number of matches in the World Cup to 104 matches, after the previous editions witnessed 64 matches with the participation of 32 teams.
