The Spanish website Relivo revealed a resounding surprise regarding Ramon Diaz’s successor in Al Hilal Saudi Arabia, as he indicated that the club is trying hard to bring back its former coach, Leonardo Jardim.

Al-Hilal has not yet officially announced Diaz’s departure, but all indications confirm this, especially after he was granted permission to travel to his country and decided to complete the season with his assistant and son Emiliano, and the veteran coach’s contract with the club expires at the end of the current season.

Relevo made it clear that the management of Al-Hilal, led by Fahd bin Nafel, placed Jardim at the head of the candidates to succeed Diaz, especially after his remarkable success with Al-Ahly youth and his leadership of the team to win the UAE League, indicating that it is trying to persuade him to agree to return.

The Portuguese coach had taken over training Al Hilal in the summer of 2021, and despite winning the AFC Champions League, the club overthrew him in February 2022 after a severe loss against Al-Ahly of Egypt in the Club World Cup.

Relevo indicated that bringing back Jardim and contracting with Sergio Busquets is part of Al Hilal’s efforts to persuade Lionel Messi to agree to join the team after the end of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain next June.
