Maccabi Haifa expressed disappointment in view of the publication of the punishment received by its players in the court of the football association, when the reduction of the points has no real meaning except as a future deterrent of the court. Before the discussion at the club, they claimed that Abdulai Sak, who had a shaky evening, as well as Ali Muhammad, should not be punished, but the highlight is Bassem Zaroora’s suspension for 15 games.

Maccabi Haifa complimented the legal advisor, Adv. Ofer Ben Asa, as well as Adv. Udi Shuchotovitch who was present at the hearing and managed to convince the judges not to actually punish Franzadi Piero and Mahmoud Jaber. In Carmel, they did not like Mavis Chibuta’s post, which criticized the association’s prosecutor, attorney Nir Rashef, and hinted at racism, later he even removed the post. Chibuta is very disappointed, he claims that he did not take part in the fight, but despite this he ended this season and his father, who came to Israel especially to see him play, will not be eligible for that.

There is concern in the Zarora section, Maccabi Haifa are expected to appeal regarding his punishment, even though the court ruled the same punishment for the Tamra players who took part in the brawl against Buaina. The concern stems from the fact that before the month of November he will not return to the courts if the punishment is not reduced and it is a question of harming his playing ability. In any minor case, San Menachem and Vinon Eliyahu who did not stand trial since he is under police investigation, will stand before an internal disciplinary committee at the club.

In the meantime, the team is preparing for the second game against Maccabi Netanya, in which they may secure the championship once and for all. Bakr will have a missing squad without Abdulai Sek, Ali Mohamed, Mauis Chibuta, Bassem Zarura, Omar Atzili, Daniel Sondgren, San Menachem and Sof Podgrano. Dean David, who did not start against Maccabi Tel Aviv, is in the picture of the Greens’ lineup for the game against the Diamonds, as well as Rami Gershon.
