Hapoel Hadera and Hapoel Tel Aviv said goodbye to their 2022/23 season tonight (Saturday) when the two met at the stadium in Netanya. The game ended in a 1:2 victory for Haim Silves and his apprentices, who finished the season in tenth place, two places above their opponent in the meeting.
The man of the match was undoubtedly Raz Tweezer, who scored both goals in the match. The winger was probably trying to signal to Silves, or to the coach who will be on the lines next season, that there may be someone to trust. Tweezer scored the first by accident, when his high ball confused the entire Hadera defense, found no one’s head and went into the net. Later, the player completed a pair with a great arcing shot and he even wasted an opportunity to complete a dream hat trick when he missed a penalty. Stav Nahmani took advantage of a mistake by Ido Sharon and Tsimak in extra time.
Quite a few youngsters were incorporated on both sides, with all the coaches completing their ten substitutions and with many of them at an early stage, including a goalkeeper substitution on Nisso Avitan’s side. The incoming goalkeeper and son of Oren Golan, Shahar Golan, stood out for good when he stopped the same Tweezer penalty. Like him, a number of other young people stood out like the opposite goalkeeper, Sharon, with the exception of the mistake at the end.
Now, the Reds will enter a completely new era, when starting next season the Mintzberg brothers are expected to take command of the club and they will allow the Nisanov brothers to return to the stands as fans. The team from Sharon had a great half season for them, but next year they will try to produce more stability throughout the season.
