Israel’s Davis team was drawn today (Tuesday) for an away match against the Latvian team as part of the House 1 survival playoffs. The match will take place at the beginning of February 2023 (February 3-4, 2023). A win will keep the team in Group 1 and a loss will drop them to Group 2.

Israel lost last weekend at the Hall of Solomon in Tel Aviv to the strong Czech team 3:1 and will try to achieve an away victory against the Latvian team ranked 55th in the world, with Israel in 34th place. In the ranks of the Latvian national team are playing: Ernst Gulbis ranked 297, Robert Strombachs ranked 563, Carlos Ozulins 1209 and Daniel Tenes.

Israel and Latvia have never met before and the location of the match was determined by a lottery, in which Israel was ranked and could also meet China, Lebanon, Lithuania, Thailand, Denmark, Greece, Slovenia, Taiwan, Poland, Bulgaria or Ireland.
