Farouk Jaafar, the star of Zamalek club, commented on the negotiations of the White Castle administration with his son in order to renew his contract, which expires at the end of the current season, revealing that the negotiations between the two parties were close to success.
Farouk Jaafar added, in statements on the “Ontime Sports 2” screen, that the agreement between Saif and the Zamalek club was completed, stressing that he hopes that his son will continue in the ranks of the White Castle during the coming period.
Farouk Jaafar explained his opinion about Zamalek club delaying the renewal of players’ contracts, saying: “Zamalek club was late in talking about renewal with the players. It was supposed to talk to them since last season, especially with the suspension of registration.”
The former Zamalek star revealed his opinion on the departure of Youssef Osama Nabih: “I do not support the idea of the player leaving for another club, especially since your club needs you, and this is what happened to me when I was a player. I received offers from the largest Gulf clubs, such as Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr Saudis.”
And he concluded: “I agreed with an Emirati club and got money, and the Zamalek club stuck to me and welcomed my stay after the club wanted me to continue.”
The contracts of the trio, Saif Farouk Jaafar, Youssef Osama Nabih, and the Tunisian Hamza Al-Mathlouthi, are scheduled to expire at the end of the current season, but Abdel Wahed Al-Sayed, the team’s director of football, leads the renewal negotiations for the trio, according to official statements from Ahmed Hossam “Mido,” a member of the club’s technical committee.
