The women’s handball team of Al-Ahly Club lost to its Angolan counterpart, Petro Atletico, 21/25 in the semi-finals of the African Cup Winners’ Cup hosted by Al-Ahly Club in the Al-Jazira branch.
The women’s handball team of Al-Ahly Club qualified for the semi-finals by defeating Tunisia’s Sporting Al-Maknine in Bentbeja 31/22 in the quarter-finals of the African Handball Cup Winners’ Cup, to qualify for the semi-finals.
The women’s handball team of Al-Ahly Club succeeded in achieving victory over its Moroccan counterpart, Al-Nawasir, with a score of 42/12, at the end of the group stage of the African Cup Winners’ Cup on Sunday.
Al-Ahly suffered a loss from its Angolan counterpart on the first of August, with a score of 38/30, in its third meeting in the African Cup Winners’ Cup, and Al-Ahly succeeded in winning its first match against Congolese Otomoho, with a score of 30/26, before defeating Ivorian Habitat, with a score of 39/15.
Al-Ahly was in the first round in the second group, next to August 1st (Angola) – Habitat (Côte d’Ivoire) – Otoho (Republic of the Congo) – Nouaceur (Morocco).
