The official reveal of the new installment in the Mortal Kombat series

Over the past few weeks, many rumors have spread about the new part of the famous Mortal Kombat fighting game series, as those rumors indicated at the time that the new part would bear the name Mortal Kombat 12. Soon, another rumor appeared, different from the one before it, as it was indicated that the new part would not be a sequel to Part 11, but rather it would be a reboot for the series, and it would carry No. 1 and be revealed soon.

Indeed, Warner Bros. confirmed this latest rumor, and announced, through the series’ accounts, the new part, which will be a reboot of the series, to bear the name Mortal Kombat 1. According to game website Officially, this sequel marks the beginning of a new era for the iconic fighting game series, introducing the world of Mortal Kombat in a new look, and will introduce completely new gameplay, new modes, new characters, and new finishing moves.

Most importantly, the game will present a new story for the most famous characters of the series, which are favorites among players and fans of the series, and it will not be a story like the rest of the stories of the last parts, but rather it will present a story for the most famous characters in a way that we have not seen before. One of the most important things about the game is that it will support cross-play and cross-save between different platforms.

If you are excited to try the game, you are fortunate that you can do this soon, as the beta copies of the game will be available two months from now, specifically sometime in the month of August 2023, and the details of the beta will be revealed as the month of August approaches.

Mortal Kombat 1 will be released next September 19 on the current generation PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms, and unfortunately it will not be released on the old PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms as rumors indicated. It is worth noting that the pre-order will be available starting tomorrow, May 19.
