OpenAI, the developer of ChatGBT, said Thursday that it will make it available on Apple’s iOS operating system.
The company said the ChatGBT app will be free and will sync chat and search history across devices.
“Only GBT+ Chat subscribers can enjoy GPT-4 capabilities, get access to new features early, and get faster responses to their requests, all on iOS,” the company added.
GPT-4 is a powerful artificial intelligence model that builds on a newer version of the technology underlying the popular chatbot, ChatGPT.
In February, OpenAI launched a trial subscription plan for its popular AI-powered chatbot, called ChatGBT Plus, for $20 per month.
The company said it will start rolling out the app on iOS in the United States and will expand to other countries in the coming weeks.
When it was introduced late last year, ChatGBT sparked a race to dominate the field of artificial intelligence technology, and pushed giant companies, from Alphabet to Meta, to promote their products in this field.
