The English Premier League “Premier League” announced on its official website the list of coaches nominated to compete for the award for the best coach in the Premier League, during the current season.
The association revealed 6 candidates to win the award: Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta, Brighton coach Roberto De Zerby, Aston Villa coach Unai Emery, Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola, Newcastle United coach Eddie Howe and Fulham coach Marco Silva.
The site opened the door for the public to participate in the vote, where the fans’ votes will be combined with the votes of an expert committee to determine the winner, whose identity will be announced on May 30.
It is expected that the competition for the award will be limited to Arteta, who presented an exceptional season with Arsenal, and Guardiola, who is close to preserving the Premier League title.
Guardiola won the award 3 times in the last five years, while Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp won it twice, the last of which was last season.
Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson holds the record for winning the Premier League Coach of the Season award with 11 times, 8 more than Guardiola, Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger.
