The Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Cairo, Diab Al-Louh, participated in the public meeting organized by the Tagammu’ Party to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Nakba. The event was held under the slogan “The Nakba is a Continuing Crime… and Return is a Right”, at the party’s central headquarters.
The meeting was moderated by Representative Atef Maghawry, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee of the Tagammu’ Party in the House of Representatives, and witnessed the speeches of the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Cairo, Diab Al-Louh, the Lebanese nationalist thinker Kamal Shatila, Representative Ahmed Bilal Al-Burlusi, Member of Parliament, and the Secretary-General of the International Academic Campaign Against the Occupation, and Dr. Alaa Hammouda, in the presence of the head of the Arab Nasserite Party, Muhammad al-Nimr, the secretary of the Fatah movement in Cairo, Dr. Muhammad Gharib, the cultural advisor to the embassy, Naji al-Naji, and a crowd of public figures.
In his speech, MP Maghawry shed light on the consequences of the Nakba of Palestine and the continuation of the tragedy of the Palestinian people inside the Palestinian territories and in exile and diaspora, which confirms that the Nakba is a crime that does not fall under the statute of limitations in light of the continuation of the Zionist occupation governments and their permanent agreement on one goal, which is displacement and the practice of all kinds of racism towards the Palestinian people.
He stressed the necessity of issuing a binding resolution by the Security Council and resorting to Article VII of the Charter of the United Nations to provide international protection for the Palestinian people in the face of continued Zionist aggression, expansion and racism, and to punish the Zionist entity and the occupation army for its ongoing crimes.
In his speech, Ambassador Diab Al-Louh appreciated the role of the Egyptian parties, thanking the Tagammu’ Party for its keenness to shed light on various Palestinian national occasions, as well as their constant support and standing for the rights of the Palestinian people in all forums, to remind the whole world of the tragedies, violations and war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation from the Nakba until the present moment. He is still studying it under the eyes and ears of the international community. Contrary to what is stipulated in international laws.
Ambassador Diab Al-Louh called for the need to enable the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with full national sovereignty, geographically contiguous and viable over all the Palestinian territories occupied in 1967 AD, with East Jerusalem as its capital, a full-fledged member state in the United Nations.
He stressed that the Palestinian leadership continues its efforts to build a just and comprehensive peace in the region, by relying on all relevant international references and resolutions, calling for urgent intervention to do justice to the Palestinian people, and to adopt a political solution that leads to ending the Israeli occupation in all its forms of the land of the State of Palestine, and putting An end to the last occupation in the world.
The participants in the event emphasized the importance of what was stated in the content of the President’s speech during the commemoration of the Nakba at the United Nations, and the firmness of the Palestinian leadership’s stance in the face of all attempts to circumvent the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.
They also praised the firm Egyptian positions in support of the just Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to obtain their full legitimate rights and support for their continuous struggle, calling on the international community to take swift and serious measures and shoulder its responsibilities by firmly and clearly confronting the illegal practices aimed at undermining the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people in clear violation of the law. International, which constitutes a war crime and a crime against humanity in accordance with the principles and provisions of international law and international laws, which hinders the imposition of stability and peace in the region.
