Today, Thursday afternoon, the Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas canisters at demonstrators east of Gaza City, in rejection of the “Israeli flags march” that started a short while ago in occupied Jerusalem.
Today, Thursday afternoon, the “Israeli flags’ march” began from the “Bab Al-Amoud” neighborhood towards the “Al-Maghariba neighborhood” in the occupied city of Jerusalem, amid tension and strict security measures.
The occupation authorities announced security and military measures to protect the flag march organized by extreme right-wing groups on the anniversary of Israel’s occupation and annexation of East Jerusalem, according to the Hebrew calendar.
The occupation police mobilized 3,000 of its personnel to secure the march, and the occupation army took “measures along the borders with the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, raising the state of alert in its forces and strengthening them with Iron Dome systems.”
The joint room of the Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza pledged to stand firmly in front of the “Israeli flag march”, calling on all Palestinians to “confront the march and clash with the occupation forces.”
In turn, the popular youth movement in occupied Jerusalem (independent) announced that Thursday and Friday would be days to raise the Palestinian flag, in rejection of the Israeli “flag march” in the Holy City.
