Arsenal announced today, Thursday, the extension of its goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale, to a long-term contract, after the impressive levels he presented with the team during the current season 2022-2023.

And Sky Sports revealed that Ramsdale signed a new contract with Arsenal until 2028.

Aaron joined the ranks of the Gunners from Sheffield United in the summer of 2021, and played 76 matches with the team in various competitions.

“It’s a huge amount of pride, something you work for,” Ramsdale told the club’s official website. “It doesn’t matter if you’re at the club for a month or for four years, you always want to get the next month and move on with the team.”

“I feel the noise. It just means I can focus and keep my head down and hopefully after a few more years I can have another dream and continue living the dream at the football club.”

And about his move to Arsenal from Sheffield, Ramsdale said: “Deep down I knew there was a lot of negativity around us, I also knew that perhaps no one had actually watched me other than the three or four games I played against Arsenal, I was ready just to carry on with it, ready.” Really to show what I can do, it was a great fight between me and Bernd last year.”

Arsenal ranks first in the English Premier League ranking table this season with 81 points, behind Manchester City with 85 points.
