Negad Al-Burai, a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue, said that the law of guardianship over money does not have major problems, but the problem in its origin is a problem in procedures, calling on civil society institutions and the National Council for Women to cooperate with each other to control this issue.
A member of the Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue explained that there is no difference between the guardian and the trustee, as the two are under the supervision of the Hasiy Council, and there are no broader powers for the guardian than the guardian, but the origin is the minor, so the money of the minor must be under the supervision of a neutral party, and the Hasiyi Council is the neutral authority, so it is not The father has the right to dispose of the money or vice versa. The mother also does not have the right to dispose of the children’s money.
He pointed out that according to the law, a woman has the right to prevent her husband from traveling and vice versa, so there is equality between women and men in this law.
This came during the discussion session in the societal axis of the National Dialogue, today, devoted to discussing family issues and community cohesion, most notably “issues of guardianship over money and related issues.”
It is noteworthy that the Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue had agreed to hold sessions mainly on “Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays” of each week, and each axis is allocated one of the days referred to, and up to four sessions can be held per day, each session is three hours, and it is decided The sessions were held in the first week at the Cairo Convention Center in Nasr City.
