Clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and the Zionist occupation forces, on the eastern borders of the Gaza Strip with the occupied territories, during the event of raising the “Palestinian flag”; In response to the Zionist “flag march” set up by settler groups in occupied Jerusalem.

A number of Palestinians were wounded by the occupation forces’ bullets east of the Malaka Return Camp, east of Gaza City, during the mass march condemning the so-called “Maysara al-Alam.” Five Palestinians were wounded by gas bombs, including a serious head injury.

On the other hand, the demonstrators lit rubber tires near the separation fence, east of Gaza, amid chants condemning the march of the occupation flags and the aggression of the occupation forces, settlers against Jerusalemites, and the guards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City, Jerusalem, and inside the courtyards of the blessed Mosque.

Meanwhile, a number of demonstrators managed to raise the Palestinian flag over the separating fence, prompting the occupation to bring in its military vehicles towards the fence.

In the context, the head of the political bureau of the “Hamas” movement, Ismail Haniyeh, confirmed that the occupation entity’s mobilization, from north to south, to provide protection for the so-called “flag march”, reflects the security fragility it is experiencing.

Haniyeh added, in a press statement, that “the flag of Palestine, which flies over our land, consolidates the identity of the homeland and its legitimate owners,” pointing out that the chapters of confrontation with the enemy are continuing, and the Palestinian people will close the account only when the land and Jerusalem are liberated and return.

And he stressed that the closure of the Old City in Jerusalem reflects the settlers’ fear of the steadfastness of our people in occupied Jerusalem, stressing that what is happening now illustrates the nature of the conflict, in its religious and national dimensions.

In turn, the Palestinian resistance factions confirmed that the Zionist “flag march” is a failed attempt by the occupation to impose its control and sovereignty over the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, calling for confronting the plans that target the city of Jerusalem and its sanctities.

For his part, the spokesman for the “Islamic Jihad” movement, Tariq Selmi, confirmed that the Zionist occupation “will not be able to resolve the conflict with our Palestinian people and their resistance, through the settlement ‘march of flags’, and other plans and policies.”

He pointed out that the Palestinian resistance follows up and evaluates what is happening in occupied Jerusalem, stressing that “the resistance is on the lookout for the actions of the occupation and its settlers, just as the Palestinian masses continue to activate all popular tools and means through marches, activities and events to emphasize the Palestinian national narrative and identity.”

In addition, a member of the General Central Committee of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Maher Muzher, stated that the Palestinian resistance is facing an open battle with the occupation, and this battle will not end with the establishment of the Zionist “flag march”.

Early in the morning, about 900 settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in successive groups, including ministers in the enemy government and members of the Knesset.

And Palestinian websites stated that the Minister of the Negev and the Galilee in the occupation government participated in the storming of the mosque.
