Al-Qahira TV reported, in an urgent news report, that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad arrived in Jeddah to participate in the activities of the 32nd Arab Summit, which is currently being held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This is the first participation of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad after an absence of 10 years. Since the suspension of Syria’s membership in the Arab League because of the political events there.
The start of the Arab summit activities tomorrow
It is expected that the activities of the Arab Summit will start tomorrow, Friday, with the participation of Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the Arab League. Where the Algerian President hands the Kingdom the presidency of the summit in this session.
This summit comes in light of the many crises facing the Arab region, foremost of which are the Sudanese crisis, the Yemen and Iraq crises, and the Palestinian issue in light of the continued Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip.
The arrival of President Al-Sisi
In the same context, President Al-Sisi arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In order to participate in the 32nd session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level.
President Sisi was received by Prince Khaled bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, and Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the League of Arab States.
President El-Sisi’s participation in the Arab summit comes within the framework of Egypt’s constant keenness to strengthen and develop relations with brotherly Arab countries.
