The Italian Fiorentina overcame the Swiss Basel hurdle in the semi-finals of the European Conference League, to set a date with West Ham United in the final.

Fiorentina defeated Basel (3-1), on Thursday evening, in the second leg of the semi-finals of the European League, to outperform (4-3) on aggregate, after the Swiss team won (2-1) in the first leg.

Nicholas Gonzalez scored two goals for Fiorentina in the 35th and 72nd minutes, while Zaki Amdouni scored Basel’s goal in the 55th minute, so the two teams went to extra time.

In the 120 + 9 minute, Antonin Barak scored a fatal goal, which led Fiorentina to victory.

Fiorentina is scheduled to meet West Ham United in the final of the European Conference League (2022-2023) on June 7 in the Czech capital, Prague.

It is worth noting that this is the second edition of the Conference League championship, noting that the Italian Roma, who reached the European League final this season, had won the title of the first edition last year.
