Today, Friday, the volleyball team of Zamalek Club will face its counterpart, the rising generation of Algeria, in the semi-finals of the African Championship held in Tunisia.


Yesterday, the volleyball team of Zamalek club defeated Green Buffalo, the Zambia champion, 3-0 in the quarter-finals of the African Clubs Championship held in Tunisia, to qualify for the semi-finals.


On Wednesday, the volleyball team of Zamalek club defeated its Cameroonian counterpart, CSV, 3-0 in the round of 16.

The volleyball team of Zamalek Club defeated its Tunisian counterpart, Marsa Al-Tunisia, with a score of 3/2, in the framework of its second confrontation in the African Championship. The Zamalek team succeeded in winning its first meeting, against Naval of Nigeria, with a score of 3/0.


The delegation of the men’s volleyball team at Zamalek Club arrived in Tunisia on Wednesday last week, in preparation for the African Championship competitions, after winning the Egyptian Cup and the League recently.


The women’s team will also participate in the African Championship competitions after winning the Egyptian Cup title by defeating its Al-Ahly counterpart 3/1 in the framework of the second play-off confrontations in the Egyptian Cup final at the Youth and Sports Hall in October “Zewail”.


The first meeting witnessed the victory of Zamalek with a score of 3/1 in the same hall, and the play-off system gives the team that won two matches the title, and in the event of a tie, resort to a play-off match.
